It’s not really a 70mm film, though. It was shot on digital and transferred to 70mm film. They used one of the best digital cameras possible and it will still look gorgeous on the big screen, but it’s lot closer to 4k (actually 6.5k) than 18k.

What are we doing here, exactly? Shaming Netflix for... being a streaming service? For offering movies that cinemaphiles might appreciate in a theater?
Roma was shot on an alexa65 digital camera. Converting, then projecting it to film is the equivalent of recording an album on a laptop, and pressing it on vinyl. Im fine with people nostalgia whacking themselves off with analog formats, but this just seems dumb.
Who the hell is watching movies on their phone? Our netflix runs through our tv. The screen of that tv is far larger when viewed from our couch than any movie screen is when viewed from the regular (i.e. not the neck craning front four rows) seats in a movie theater. I mean, our floors aren’t sticky, and our couch is…
Real talk: I love la Croix. Specifically room temperature lime la Croix.
If you want to mess with your mind, try key lime la Croix. It tastes like Skittles.
And yes. I accept all judgement by my words and deeds.
Um they were never employed by blizzard so the tv / film analogy is not valid in anyway whatsoever. Unions are formed to protect directly employed people from those that directly employ them. This is not that. These people were morons for asusming this income stream had any longevity.
And in nearly every case that you cite - each guild is actually employed by the content creators or distributors. Pretty sure most of these people they are speaking to are not legally entwined with Blizzard, so they are going to have zero leverage in bargaining - since there isnt even an actual agreement in place.
Isn’t tota murder and destruction the entire point of GTA?
Who said it was a work party? The story just says it was a party.
If being bad at flirting is now sexual harassment, then we have to fire everyone from every job, because literally no one is good at flirting.
Sounds about right.
My initial urge is to believe the woman.
Is a proposition, even a clumsy one, sexual harassment? He wasn’t her supervisor and it was at a party. He made a pass and that’s all we know. Is that considered wrong?
Yes, the game is buggy. Yes, they need to fix shit. But WE are also doing the hurting to the future of Bethesda games. We as consumers have been awful and whiney. When it comes down to it, I want Bethesda around, making games.
New headline ‘Indie devs have never been involved in any product distribution ever and are mad to learn what standard practice is’ It may be a bit more wordy, but it is more accurate.
IGN isn’t fucking awful? Hmm...
Gotta love fallacious outrage.
I really don’t see an issue with this, it’s not like Steam raised the costs on small games, they just decided to reward games that are successful. Helping the games that help them.
I think it’s a bit of a misnomer to say that if you make a ton of money, you’re paying Valve less than someone making less money. *Percentage-wise* you’re paying less, but if you’re pulling in $50M you’re still paying Valve significantly more dollars than someone making $20k. Plus that dev has already paid the same…
It doesn’t happen as often with Apple, but it still does. It all comes down to whether you want to trust yourself to be sensible about your downloads, or trust the operating system.
It doesn’t seem to be too bad as long as I don’t crank the volume. Nobody has complained in three years...
