I think the next Gen of EVs are going to get us there. In the meantime, there are compromises like you see. I had a lap of Lake Michigan planned out for my Bolt, then 2020 happened.

There is more to life than saving money!  I am filled with JOY when I drive my EV.  It is the most fun I have had driving since my Gen 1 Miata.

In 2020, that is what rental cars are for.  In 2025, maybe it is different.  But I have driven my Bolt 600 miles over two days.  I have literally taken only two trips longer than that in the last decade.

I am not sure about the AWD. I feel AWD is the most un-needed feature in cars, next to all HP above 150.

Yet? They have been making Carbon Fiber F1 cars for 35 years! If it hasn’t gotten to wide-scale adoption it never will. Active suspension has been BANNED from F1 for over 25 years and has not seen wide scale adoption in production cars in that time. Manual transmissions are going the way of the dinosaur in road…

They need more flex because of just how many huge cities they have. They have 40 cities bigger than Chicago! 27 cities bigger than Los Angeles!

I hate those with a passion that burns like 1000 suns. Every Cup race is an all-star race... you don’t need a special all star race. And the Clash is stupid, reaching it’s peak stupidity next year when all of the “pole winners” in a year without qualifications will run a road race.

I look at the starting lineup of every cup race and think “there are 10 cars that could be cut from this grid”. (My first Cup race had 32 cars in it because I am old.)

Skip the football, go for one last trip to the best Thai food west of the Mississippi at Lotus of Siam. 😀

How about.... just build a damn metro.

There is literally no reason for batteries in a tunnel. When the vehicle operates along a rigidly controlled path, just wire it up like a subway.
