This is why I am not a big fan of home-brew classic car EV conversions. The safety of EVs is tough for even professionals, with multiple crash tests and super computer FEA at their disposal.

I would never ride in a EV conversion and I am not all that thrilled we will share the road. Half the battle of an EV is crash safety.

We are not talking apples and oranges. The thing YOU are not considering is stock holders are not the UAW’s constituency. GM sold more vehicles in the US last year than any other company I believe. GM made profits last year I believe. So the whole “GM can’t compete using union labor” is demonstratably false based…

The UAW doesn’t need GM to be as profitable as Apple. The UAW needs GM to not make all their products using Chinese labor.
