There is one other driver to this. Cost. When I charge at home, I can completely charge my 60 kW Bolt at 0.10/ kW-Hr. At a DC Fast charger, 30 kW is going to cost $10+. So with fast charging being 3-4x more expensive, that will be the as-needed solution.

Baseball teams have made the counter intuitive decision to raise all the prices, to soak the super fans instead of lowering all the prices to attract more fans. Evidently they feel it is easier to extract more cash from the fans you already have than some cash from more fans.

I am officially sick of complaining baseball players and oversensitive umpires.  Screw the whole lot of them.  

I actually have an EV. I live in a dense urban environment. While I did install a Level 2 EVSE, with my car’s 238 mile range I am starting to wonder if I needed to do so. There are 16 Charge Point stations within a mile of my house. I think not charging at home can be done, but like many things it is easier.

Oh yeah.... $33.9k out the door.  Will get $3750 back from the feds in early 2020.

I love my 2019 Bolt LT in Kinetic Blue Metalic. I smile as much driving it as I ever smiled driving either of my Miatas. It is my only car and I doubt I will ever own an ICE car again.
