That’s not the same thing...
I always loved Nat X back then (and they’ve held up well overall). When I see people talk about how SNL wasn’t so mean to white people and so on like it is today (brought back up again with the Joker piece last week) I think of those sketches...I can’t imagine the reaction if they aired now.
There was a scene in season 5 that, for all the over-analysis of prophecies and whatnot, wasnt really mentioned in the lead up to this season. Bronn asks Jaime how he wants to die and Jaime says in the arms of the woman he loves. So sadly this shit was in the works for a while, but I agree his character just yoyoed…
Before Steve got the super soldier serum they testedvhim by tossing a grenade on the ground and Camp's natural instinct was to sacrifice himself to contain the blast and save his comrades. Cap was worthy to wield Mjolnir before he had his own powers.
“You rode a hammer?”
Only half the Dothraki...
Those ships appearing out of nowhere, ambushing the only navy in the entire world that has aerial recon, was some next-level bullshit. I expect it from this show these days, but it was still jawdropping.
In general I agree that these last 2 seasons are suffering from their truncation. But I think you’re reading Jaime wrong--he’s not switching sides again, he’s going south to kill Cersei. A more tender parting wold have ben nice, but it occurs to me that maybe he was just trying to rip the band-aid off all at once &…
Classic D&D, having Sansa tell the Hound that if she hadn’t been raped for months she wouldn’t ever have been able to be a skilled politician.

Remember how good the battle of Hardhome was... because you could see the battle of Hardhome. This was like the golden age of radio.
Honestly it sounds like you’re nitpicking minor plot contrivances due to the use of time travel in the plot.
Yeah, I’ll never understand this point of view. First of all, most people work in college, so this person isn’t special. Second, it’s completely unethical that we loan 18-22 year-olds enough money that they can finance cost of living + tuition completely through loans, and then they’re stuck with 100k+ in debt for a BA…
And there is someone who didn’t go to college at all b/c couldn’t get funding or was scared of even the $20k debt that you have or college wasn’t a luxury b/c they had to work to support their siblings.
It’s strange that you’re against something because you can imagine there is someone out there taking advantage of it, but you’re not really quite sure. Let’s be sure no one can benefit from this proposal just in case someone out there partied through school while you worked.
It might be anecdotal, but in my immediate circle, this is true almost across the board. Most of my friends are in their early to mid thirties and most of them aren’t buying a house/having a baby because their student loan debt repayment is still so high that it takes up a significant chunk of their incomes.
A massive wipe of student debt in the U.S. would trigger a huge spending boom in housing and autos, and probably bump up birth rates as young Americans who were looking down the barrel of decades of debt would decide they could have the 2.5 kids their parents had. And all the critics are going to worry about is that…
