Like her so much I genuinely want the finale to not suck. This will be the first episode in months I watch live instead of catching clips the next day.

Your seventeenth Stranger Things article, and yet you can’t be bothered to review so many other series or films. (sigh)

X is the only F13 film I’ve re-watched several times. I find it good dumb fun.

I genuinely enjoy most of his work, but I’m getting really tired of hearing about him doing the next (insert name here). There are more than five directors available, franchises.

Do people just hand out kittens willy-nilly?

Just curious why it’s okay for you to “report” this and include leaked information. Is their a general rule of journalism (?) that once creative material is in the open it’s fair game? This isn’t the Pentagon Papers, I get that...but still...

I feel certain there is a lot of Stephen King material that has never been adapted, so why they keep re-doing stories is lost on me. Except for, you know, money.

Oh, I’m definitely a fan. But I grew up on OG Godzilla/Mothra/etc films, so the seed was planted early for me.

Mikkelsen was the only redeeming piece of POLAR. It was just awful.

As visually gorgeous as those films are, I’m surprised they’re making another because it never felt like there was a huge response each time they released one. I just hope they can get rid of the over-emoting kid from Stranger Things.

Was really looking forward to this one, and saw it at a festival last year. Hell of a lot of craft went into it, but the murkiness and off-energy was a beat-down.

Curious who you object to in the films we’ve gotten so far?

This was wonderful. I love it when someone recalls seemingly everything from decades past in detail, and also seems like a genuinely good person. And not overly edited! Well done.

I’ll admit that S3 confused the fuck outta me...more than 1 and 2. I hate feeling dumb, but I couldn’t grasp whatever was going on there. Thanks for the recap.

As we are reminded again and again (especially here), just because something makes money doesn’t mean it’s good.

I’m so tired of films with declarations of (dramatic pause) *family*.

I wish everyone - artists, audiences, and writers - would shut the fuck up about surprises and secrets.

Thank you! I was struggling to recall that title, but I knew there had been something similar in recent years.

“Strap in...” I haven’t watched this guy in a while, but I find his stuff immensely compelling (and occasionally hilarious...his Suicide Squad editing analysis is a hoot).

This is the only (and not unexpected) news that makes me vaguely regret cancelling Netflix. But I’ll get over it soon enough.
