Bought Detroiters at the start of the pandemic over on Prime, and it has been money well-spent. One of the most re-watched series I own.

Funny, I read Ti West and envision Joe Swanberg.

This fanbase gets worked up waaaay too easily. That was one dull-ass teaser.

So in a few months when I pay $19.99 for the film in my living room, with no gas or refreshment expenses and no worries about noisy yahoos in the theater, I win. Thanks for the encouragement, Sam.

And the questionable use of “panned out” in the headline.

Really happy for the SHIVA BABY team. That film stuck with me longer and stronger than most of the big mainstream projects I watched last year.

When I cancelled Netflix last year one of my only regrets was that I would miss out on any further seasons of ITYSL. I own Detroiters over on Prime. Now I can rest easy that their new show will be on Max, where I am getting a lot more value out of my dollar, despite the janky skip button.

This list is a crime...against one’s patience.

So, am I right that this iteration of Batman has no connection to any other film series?

Hey, Mr. Perkins...I disagreed with you, a lot. But you (and the team) deserved better, and I wish you all the best. Good luck with the Next Thing.

Best car chase? The Seven Ups would like a word.

I love knowing new generations of film enthusiasts will have that glorious and wince-inducing sense of awe and disbelief at watching HK films’ stunt work from that period. Just incredible stuff.

Narrator: there was no outrageously negative reaction.

Yeah, that is pretty smart casting. But I would pay to watch Goggins in almost anything. That I’ll get it for free is a bonus.

There are days when I wish Doctor Strange would make everyone forget about Star Wars. It is the most over-discussed/over-hyped/over-argued entertainment I’ve experienced in over 50 years.

Will as soon as it streams. I’m still a bit skittish about theaters.

So, I have a question. I find these films greatly enjoyable and the trailer looked amazing. But (having not yet seen NWH), didn’t Strange create this mess because he was trying to help Peter stay anonymous? I don’t get the portentous utterances by him in the trailer that make it sound like it was something far grander

Dug roughly two-thirds of it, and some of the early character moments are gold.

I’m going to wager there are dozens of un-adapted King stories, but they decided to remake this one. (shakes head)

FFS, I was rushing headlong to say this and was actually relieved someone beat me to it. NIGHTMARE ALLEY felt so hollow, arch, and wholly predictable to me (without the benefit of familiarity with the original), that its design was all I felt it had going for it.
