Maybe this was a trade-off the FC series made, as when you kill other animals in 6 (which also seem more scarce), you no longer CUT CUT CUT, SLICE SLICE SLICE until you get their skins and meat. It just gives you the items when you walk over them. I mean, it would be weird they thought getting rid of that meant it was

1) The way Bakula intones “...the Galleria”

The only thing about S2 I really didn’t care for - but especially in the finale - is that this is a show that does not require a villain. But particularly not one created in such a shoddy fashion. The coaching staff bears no responsibility for Nate’s inability to behave like an adult and not a petulant child. The hair

(Adds MEMORIA to watchlist.) Thanks!

DIE ANOTHER DAY was stealing from James Bond films.

For the longest time I assumed it was Shailene Woodley. I use that gif a LOT, so I should probably write her a check.

When I was an editor, if one of my writers began a paragraph with “Anyway...” we would have had a chat about lazy technique.

Meandering *and* aimless? Yikes.

Oof. I hope the show is funnier than this.

“...Marvel Studios, which established the shared universe stunningly well, better than any one before it and any who have tried it since. But is that all the studio can do?”

As far as craft and creativity, it is quite the achievement. But it’s an unpleasant slog. I was so glad when it ended.

I came to AppleTV late (like, last month). My findings:

I’ve always assumed that, like Scrooge McDuck, Disney has a vault of gold coins that executives occasionally go swimming in, and that paying someone 40M to squash some static isn’t any more effort than a guy backing a truck up to the spigot on said vault.

Your point about the first outings...yeah, that’s solid. I had to think about it for minute, but totally agree.

LIVE AND LET DIE and DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER are personal favorites for *really* different reasons. But I would not place either at the top of my Letterboxd list of Bond films.

CASINO ROYALE has become my favorite Bond film second only to...DR. NO. Not because of that first outing’s story, but Connery’s utterly cold, brutal portrayal (which slipped a bit with each successive film, no matter how good or bad). Cold and brutal is what makes that character work, even if he’s not very human at

FYI that SALOUM is listed on the At Home film roster.

Looks like they were trying to get that Michael Cera youthfulness. Woops.

“...even if it potentially comes at the expense of some established characterization...” It’s an alternate reality. FFS, when will you grasp that?

Am I the only one who thought M.O.D.O.K stunk on ice?
