I have not read the book, so I hate to jump to conclusions regarding the narrative. But I will say this trailer looks more like over-stuffed Proyas than Spielberg. I love a good science-fiction adventure, but for a high-profile advance teaser, this was a mess.

Much as I found to dislike, I would have respected the writers just a bit more if they had allowed Ethan to come clean.
