railfans run the gamut from pretty chill to extremely weird, but its a really genuine hobby. i used to bench freights (watch the graffiti on freight cars) and so theres a lot of crossover interactions between us and the railfans. taught me a lot about being safe in the yard and i even picked up some knowledge too.
