you can buy a great generator for $500 and it would be a lot more useful...

im extremely aware. it is -30F right at my office parking lot. luckily the infrastructure of my place of employment allows me to plug right in so I can use my block heater oil pan heater transmission heater and trickle charger. my point is that its not that big a hurdle.

in alaska all the apartment complexes already have outlets at every parking space

sounds like the time i went with my mom to buy her subaru and had to explain to the salesman what a CVT was. he just said “oh man you should sell these things!”

ive driven a f250 at 90 on a washboard gravel road with less vibration than this video

a coffee shop near me has been occasionally doing single origin light or medium roasts for espresso drinks (doppio, cortado, or real macchiatto) and it is just my favorite thing ever.

mines becoming my rally car. put forester struts on it (~2" lift) and bigger knobby tires, a lot of my driving is on potholed gravel roads so its been a great mod to do. The f150 is predominantly rust, yes, but I rebuilt the front end and you cant stop that 4.9 i6, so it is a great truck for haulin firewood and goin

if thats what i had to eat for dinner i’d be hungry too

my house: 2001 CRV (160k), 1997 subaru impreza OBS (150k), 1981 f150(190k!!). The effort to post any of them on craiglist is not worth what I could sell any of them for, and they all run great

i sort of see this as a ‘type of person’ thing almost as much as the reliability of the car. japanese cars tend to be more sensible, and their buyers reflect that. the soccer mom who wants the new ferd quAdro-diesel boost f950 to drive jimmy down to school or the finance bro who wants to stunt in his maserari

alaskas coffee shacks are my lifeblood. after living here for 6 years i could not survive without them.

the palins are greeeeeeeaaassssy. but boy that todd sure can drive a snowgo though.

opera does

I was using opera because I refuse to use chrome, but switched back to firefox when I heard they revamped. Its fine, the only issue I have is with kinja though. I have to refresh the page after initially loading it for comments to show up formatted correctly.

you can always rent your own storage unit... I’m surprised that living in a condo already you don’t

i too have found that buying pretty much whatever snow tire is a good price and replacing them at regular intervals is better than buying the expensive ones and trying to stretch them out an extra year or two

cooper weathermasters are also great for trucks. reasonably priced, good siping, and can be studded. I believe it is also the only 3pms tire available in load range E

grabbers on mini? sweet. I am going to put some on my lifted impreza this summer (once my winter tires come off)

i leave work at 4:15 too. But I get in at 7 and take 15 minutes for lunch...

a few more years cant hurt
