I actually like the comment sections on YouTube, Yahoo, and other news outlets. Sure, half of the comments are outright garbage, but some are thoughtful and engaging. The anonymity allows people to express unpopular or contrarian views that would otherwise be 'dangerous' in a politically correct setting.
