It’s only socialism when somebody else is getting the benefit or relief. If the disaster befalls you, it’s a unforseen, unavoidable tragedy that can only be rectified by an influx of other people’s tax dollars.
Everyone wants deregulation when it seems in their favor, but as soon as it turns against them they want the government to step in and “do something.” How about forcing people to live with the consequences of their narrow-minded decisions?
