Why do I get the feeling this was just an attempt to poison the well by Spencer?  The right’s whole thing these last few years has been blatant trolling, and this just feels like a particularly hamfisted attempt.

Given how it seems the kids have been angered by this for years pretty sure it’s less “the kids come first” and more “well the polling’s collapsed and if I want any sort of convention circuit after this I need to jump now and this is a great excuse that people will give me sympathy for”.
