I had one way back when, so I’m not impartial. NP as

For a fake presidential ride, the market leader Is a Toyota Crown. They’re more luxurious, most have V-12's, are just as available for the same money and underneath aren’t a shitty Q -45 with murdered out rims. You can guess my vote.

The car looks clean but the wheels look too narrow. The factory engine was a 10ish-1 CR so you won’t be running much more than 5 psi without detonation issues unless they changed internals (and didn’t mention it).

There is a clone of that one near me, diesel no less. Seems very useful and handsome in a chopped up German sort of way.

I believe “ute” is the word you’re looking for. Doesn’t calling something a pickup infer that the vehicle in question is an actual “truck”?

I don’t think panorama thought needed to perform “extreme vetting” in the publication. 99.99999% of the readers likely took the owners word for it as the car is known in PCA circles and was suggested by their dealer.

I remember reading about this car and the owner(s) in panorama. As I recall, the car had negligible repairs required over its life, all just consumable part replacement. These were the mass market halo car for Porsche when new and quality was exceptionally good, even for Porsche.

The other explanation is that trump (intentional lower case) is also working for/with the russians. Based on the lack of clarity with respect to tax returns, I think there is a distinct possibility that he’s financed by the russian oligarchs/state. If there was any good news in those tax returns (ever), they would’ve

A lot of people here don’t understand the value of a 914-6. It’s not an 80k car, but those suggesting it’s too high at 8k are shopping in a different market. Finding a real 914-6 without rust issues and with all the pieces there is not easy and these began to shoot up in price before the 911 market added a zero to

1. These were rot prone from the start. If you can see the rot too side, its guaranteed to be infinitely worse underneath.

Can’t star this enough.

You’re not funny.

Me thinks I see the tell-tale red tin work of a motor-meister rebuild. Not a good sign. Run away unless you’re prepared for significant dollars to be spent down the road.

I’m biased because I have one of these and a 951, but how many cars can you buy with a magnesium cam cover (and distributor cap mount) period, let alone for $2200. Lots of great for the price here.

How does the following bullshit make it past the story vetting process:

I hate drifting but have a 951 so still approve. The tipping point was the fire shooting out of the exhaust on liftoff.

That isn’t a charring mark from one of the car “shooting flames”, that’s a wet soot mark from a car without a catalytic converter being warmed up (read rich AFR) next to the wall.

Cllick-bait much?

Great catch.

Love people being faithful to the model, but I call bullshit on 550 at the wheels without a dyno sheet.
