What kind of cereal?

There are people here that think she murdered Sharon Tate. There are people that scream “rehabilitate!” in quite literally every other scenario but this one.

Yeah, you’ve definitely got a point there.

She already had a job lined up last time. So I doubt that will be an issue.

I’m not sure! But I am certain that “We’re keeping you imprisoned because no one here knows what you would do if you were released” is no sufficient reasoning to keep someone locked up. But I guess you made clear you don’t think it is either.

I don’t understand why people claim they don’t want the prison system to be punitive rather than rehabilitative - unless it’s a high profile case that they may not actually be even correct on the details of (watch this space for people claiming she stabbed Sharon Tate!) in which case, screw what the parole board has

I don’t necessarily disagree with you, but also, if she is released, what could she actually do? She likely won’t be able to get a job. She’d probably end up homeless on the streets unless she has family she can stay with.

I agree.

It was 50 years ago, she was a kid being manipulated. Let her out. She’s a drain on the system and its bs that she’s rotting away while people get away with much more.

good

They need to change the parole system in the United States, then. Because people who have done WAY worse things-but were not associated with the name Manson- have served sentences far shorter than she has. Can’t have different rules for the rich, the poor, the black, the white, and the Manson family.

I’m sure she’ll be rejected again.

Time for the 2 minute hate...

I do think the creators knew what they wanted from the revival, it’s just that they didn’t strike the right balance between the various elements of the show. It’s not merely Cooper that was missing but the fact that too much time was spent of what is essentially an exercise in style. The slow scenes went from being

As someone who looked to YM magazine for information both on how to handle my frizzy hair and also to have the guts to stand up for what I believed in, thank fucking god for teen fashion magazines that get political. We had a stream of political magazines in my house I wouldn’t have been caught dead reading as a teen,

Hazel yesterday:

they can be both woke and care about things like fashion. Plus Elaine is awesome.

Yeah, I hate when I’m reading a real meaty article and it’s interrupted by a fashion ad.

They are already doing more than most magazines. It’s not going to be perfect. No editorial space that also balances political issues is unless you refuse advertisers. This is being a grown up.

So’s Jezebel. So’s the 10,000 ads I see from StackSocial and other things on this site. They, and you, have to keep your product alive in order to reach people with your message. That’s kinda...life?
