As much as the second shot (third counting the title image) with the new crew pictured with the original series’ refit Enterprise being destroyed?

More than any other movie I’ve seen in my lifetime, Queen’s soundtrack was as much a part of this film as the actors. GotG comes close, but nothing touches how well Mulcahy wove their music into this film.

Close: Steinman penned and produced it, with Holly Sherwood on lead vocals. Very close, actually, as Sherwood did backing vocals on Total Eclipse of the Heart.

I am not an A-10 fanboy though I believe it kicks the tailpipe off any competitor when looking strictly at the AT/CAS/FAC role. I am highly skeptical of the F-35, if only because between strategically lowered expectations, shifted goalposts and fudged tests/metrics for this program, I feel LockMart has traded every

Crazy conspiracy theory time: Avengers set a very high bar for phase 2, which, IMHO, only Cap2 really cleared (the other movies were good, just not as good). What if the BvS was deliberately lowballed to keep expectations attainable for what follows?

This, Duane’s “The Romulan Way”, and John M Ford’s “The Final Reflection” are the ultimate pre-canon alien “guides”. Add Bonanno’s “Strangers From The Sky” for history and you have my favorite 4 80's Trek novels. :)

Artistic touch courtesy of Boris Vallejo, who did many of the 80's era book covers... though I had no problem imagining it was a Romulan Phaser... ;)

I immediately noticed Diane Duane missing from the list of authors, and I am glad I wasn’t the only one. The whole Rihannsu series was excellent but “My Enemy, My Ally” set the standard. She and Margaret Wander Bonanno (“Dwellers in the Crucible” and “Strangers From The Sky”) are far and away my favorite of the

Loved it. Loved it, loved it, loved it... not technically perfect but absolutely joyful.

That was actually where I thought they were going for a sec, if only accidentally...

I didn’t get that from the interview snippets, only that the “Jay” we’ve seen all season has been pulling a fast one on Team Flash (totally intended).

I liked it for the most part, but there was a second tease, in the flash on Heretic when Bats first meets him:

Total shot in the dark, but supplementary turbines that only engage when the wings are in closed/cruise positions for faster travel to combat zones? They’re not compressing air in space, but something else... hydrogen, maybe?

Cost? Style? Practicality? (Really! Stop for a sec and think of how far you’d have to open your jaw to get at good canine bite in...)

Coral Sea, Lexington (I think), Oriskany, and the Big E, herself, representing 3 classes no longer in a fleet that’ll never know those numbers again.

“It’s fun to stay at the...”

Is it just me, or does it still burn anyone else’s tail seeing the skull and crossbones (or the pukin’ dawg) on a Hornet? Still, impressive show!

At a glance, it seems most are using some degree of AB on launch, but the tankers and Growlers are going full out on take off and, in some cases, when they kick up the throttle on touchdown.

Training, perhaps?

Had exactly the same thought. I’ll be disappointed if we don’t see a lot more of her and her story (how did she get the lightsaber, anyway, and how’d she know its history?)...
