Looking at it in Video one the Vette misjudged his cutting off the Porsche- aggressive racing- and in the others the Porsches were racing aggressively - doing what is needed to get a win, you see this every week in every other type of racing except open wheel- midgets and wings excluded.
The standing are close enough that the 3 point swing in the LB race looks like it could be very important. The Ford team might end up sending Team Porsche a thank you card.

The road car production is for Panoz to qualify as a manufacturer who can build an engine and bodywork for the class. The rules are written for major OEMs, not boutique manufacturers. They want big OEMs who can advertise to support the series, rather than little guys who they prefer just run the cost-capped car.
