Hnnnnnnnnnnng
Can you imagine this was just some early sick and twisted April Fools Day prank?
To disclaim, I think safety is an issue at the forefront of any type of circuit. However, if the lack of it unsettles you or makes you feel unsafe, then maybe Goodwood, or other tracks that do not conform to a status of FIA Grade 3 or higher just aren’t for you. I can still appreciate the desire for being absolutely…
“Should I see some kind of psychiatrist or clergyperson?”
COTD? COTD.
It would, especially given their brand status and that both manufacturers are competitors. However as Bakkster mentioned below, Cadillac is slated for going to the DPi ranks in ‘17, which makes me wonder if HPD would follow suit with promoting Acura in their prototype plans like they did with the early ARX LMP cars.…
True, the Caddy was actually what I was thinking of when I typed that comment. Their car is competitive but there hasn’t seemed to be any announcement that they’re developing customer cars for other series.
My thought was that because both Cadillac and now Acura have developed GT3 cars to replace the sedan based GT…
Hoping this isn’t going to be a PWC exclusive car, though I’m feeling it might be. I’d love to see one or two of these scrap it out in some IMSA endurance races in GTD.
It’s the racing version of the new NSX they should have made all along...*
Suicide doors? YES PLEASE!
Then the production model shows up:
Yeah it might have been track conditions, this was 2015 I believe so I’m not sure what they were like. You could tell at the end when the driver locked up that the car might have been on ice lol
Counterpoint:
Thats more than fair, as long as you see my point. I’m not advocating for people that drive like dicks, fuck that. Just for people to make better decisions making in terms of how to deal with them.
He clearly passes the merged vehicle in the video and made no effort to move into the cruise lane to let the meatstick behind him pass afterwards. The person getting tailgated simply had to move over and instead they chose to nearly start an accident. Again, I get the frustration of being tailgated, but how does brake…
I’m not advocating for speeding or tailgating for that matter at all. But I’m of the thought process that if someone is riding your ass and going at a faster pace (which other motorists were doing as well) and you do have room to move over, why hold somebody up and better yet, jam your brakes out of spiteful intent?
If…
What about the the AH-64 Thule?
I’d argue that the driver who brake checked was impeding the flow of traffic because they disregarded what the left lane is used for on that particular stretch of road. If you watch you’ll see the driver of the Mercedes going at a similar pace behind the SUV that was tailgating. Mind you if it was a typical street,…
It isn’t up to members of the public to police somebody’s speed unless the law dictates it. I get the sentiment of being pissed off for tailgating, I’d think anybody would but brake checking someone on undivided highway is equally if not more reckless and negligent to other people on the road. Either speed up and match…
Who knows, but this is COTD material.
