Beat me to it!
Beat me to it!
The Aston Martin AMR-One.
For some reason when I saw the cop step out in the video, this was the first thing to come to mind.
You could buy a multitude of things with better everything for a better price.
‘Bubba’ Ancheff sounds catchy.
As a Canadian I’d really love to see our government make an offer for some of the A-10s in lieu of some of the F-35s that seem to be soaking up billions.
I didn’t mention it in comment here but I did see Pilgrim was off the racing line when his car died while I was there so it makes sense. I just didn’t know what the protocols were. I assumed that if there was oil on the track that a yellow and safety car would be called. Thanks for the clarification!
Fair enough, I’m not posting blame on anybody either and I don’t mean offense. People have to do their jobs and I’m appreciative of that. I just thought it was a stupid move to have the ass end of a tow truck hanging out like that while there is no safety car not for just the drivers racing but the recovery crew as…
At the exit from the hairpin was what I saw and others were saying. It looked like the car burst about midway through the corner. Pilgrim had gone off the track onto a runoff near a safety crew after his car burst midway through the corner. I couldn’t see the oil he dumped, but I’m assuming he knew something was wrong…
It seemed like they were running partial cautions for affected sections of track. I was at Moss corner (the hairpin) when Andy Pilgrim’s oil pan and more blew out from the belly of his ATS but the cars kept going round after the safety crew was dispatched. I was sort of surprised to see that there wasn’t a safety car…
‘Murica.
This sort of explains the startled look on the face of the Bentley. It’s going to constantly have a horde of happy 991 GT3R sniffing around it’s rear!
I mean, it is K-bec.
Well, that sounds slightly gloomy, but I mean the ZEOD RC and the Deltawing were their last two platforms in prototype racing. Hopefully they can produce something with the car or at least decide to revert to something more akin to the other LMP1 cars by the end of the season.
Because there is acceleration and power going down to the wheels that is pulling the car off of whatever apex it would have hopefully clipped and onto the straight. The one car I’m primarily referencing to is the Audi R18. It uses it’s electric drive for that exact purpose and allows the car to accelerate quicker…
Ah, thanks for the answer!
Another benefit of having FWD I think would be corner exit. The other hybrid LMP1 cars usually use their electric front drive in the cars to prevent a slower exit from the corner to get back on the gas quicker. It seems like the GTR LM would capitalize on that having most if not all of it’s power up front. Thinking of…
Cars.
Because the high beltlines made the owner’s brain a pile of goo.
