The tires come in the “Demon Crate”, which is their version of a track pack. It’s literally in the picture, lol. Untwist them panties a little.

And how don’t they pass? Come on Mr. I’m smarter than everyone else... enlighten us all with your bullshit.

The reason it is “banned” is because you need a roll cage (not just a bar), window net, NHRA Competition License to go quicker than 9.99, full fire suit, and fire gloves. And it’s only a few MPH away from needing a parachute. (150 mph trap speed makes that a requirement)

it’s like it was designed not to be noticed

I didn’t have room to mention that the rear bumper needed to get redone so that the curve of the stock-shape rear wheel arch continued onto the aftermarket-shape rear bumper.

I shot this all on slide film (Fuji Velvia 100), which was kind of odd in the full sunlight. I have a ton more photos, I’ll try to find space to put them all.

That is an achingly beautiful car. I’m actually a little surprised just how much appeal it has to me.

Yeah. Sometimes people go over the top. But sometimes they go so far over the top, so far past anything that could be considered sane, that the focus and determination and the single-minded obsession are what make the build. These guys are freaks. Absolute freaks. In the best, best, best possible way.

things get interesting at the very top end of the car world

Dude... you are like the most anti-FCA person on the planet... you have stated a NUMBER of “facts” that are untrue. So keep trolling. It won’t work on me. You are wrong and have been wrong a lot.

Yeah... cause no one ever puts on a smaller pulley...

Can I just say, the Fusion looks great in steelies and two-tone paint.

Step four:

Step one: Hybrid cop car with advanced electronics.

State police that do much of the highway patrol aren’t the target market for this. For urban agencies like NYPD and LAPD, I think these might work, provided they are reliable under heavy abuse.

This may sound like heresy, but I’m surprised it hasn’t been done on a larger scale already. Police and other municipal vehicles spend way more time idling than most consumer vehicles. Working at a Ford shop, much of the damage/wear we see to fleet vehicles comes from long idling. Cooked plastic wiring looms, brittle

Helps cut down on the high burnout rate among officers as well.

Municipal Watchdog Confucius says “FWD police car help officers avoid donuts.”
