That really upset me.
I identify with Mickey, but I cannot defend her on this.

I don't understand why Gus had all those people over; he had to have known how much anxiety it was going to add to the mix.
And the way Gus talked to Mickey about the dogs…. like an employer who is giving you a "warning", even though you can tell they've already made up their mind that you're outta there….
She knows she has a problem and wants to change.
Gus doesn't think he has a problem and no desire to change.
She can play more shades, so you can get "terrible" and "vulnerable" mixed together, while Rust is more black & white.
Also, Gus doesn't wear a seat belt.
That REALLY bugs me!
This episode was viscerally upsetting to me.
I've been in that situation, where a friend/partner takes the side of an abusive parent against me; or thinks THEY MIGHT KNOW BETTER ( Gus's "You think so?" when Mickey refers to Marty as an alcoholic, Gus suggesting the "lens of childhood" distorts, etc)
ALL Gus had to do…
OMG HOW EFFING STUPID CAN GUS BE?!?!?!
I'm screaming at my screen, "SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!"
I had to pause the episode to post that.
I liked JESSICA JONES *in spite* of it being a superhero show.
This sounds like IRON FIST has nothing for me.
I LOVE her… and it's so devastating to hear that she would think "I have two nephews" would make her memorable to the SUBZERO™ Bros.
This is the first episode where I began to care about Gus as a person.
I disagree completely about Randy.
I HATE HIM.
And if his antics were supposed to come across as "endearing", that didn't work with me.
I have a feeling that Gus is more upper class than he knows, and Mickey is lower class than she feels comfortable admitting…. maybe even to herself?
I can see myself in Mickey's asshole moves, so they are both more painful AND endearing.
I can't see myself in any of Gus's moves.
I have a new respect for Gus, for taking charge and confronting Randy.
This was another episode where I kept thinking, "If they weren't white, they'd be dead".
Wonderful to see JUST ADD MAGIC get some love!
My whole family loves the show, especially Amy Hill as MAMA P!
"I'm going to call my team!"
I'm only up to 4, but Mickey is working my nerves much more this season than last.
I really do enjoy the moments when people are simply having a good time.
I wouldn't want a whole show if that, but it's nice to see a baseline of happiness.
The same way Heidi turned on him when he rejected her, the same way hipster girl turned on him when he rejected her…
