Perhaps it was my projection.
By the same token, I thought she was psycho confronting him and taking it personally.
Perhaps it was my projection.

Not really, he couldn't pull his beak out of his phone.
By the same token, Gus is so TRANSACTIONAL in his "niceness" that, since he wasn't trying to hook up, he didn't see any reason to even be POLITE.
Well, I DO think Gus's ex called it out rightly: he thinks he's "a nice guy" but it's all manipulative/transactional.
It wouldn't stand out so much if we ever saw an attrative man approach Mickey.
But there seem to be no men in Mickey's life beside Gus, her boss and her co-worker… whereas we see Gus interact with many different women.
That's how I FEEL, but I'm not sure that's what the show intends.
And features the FABULOUS Jamie Denbo!
This is very true; Mickey feels LIVED IN, in a way that is simply outside of Rust's skill set.
The thing is, we NEVER see attractive men approach Mickey.
All I could think about was, "If they weren't white, they'd be dead"
Was that meant as subtext?
I always think its meant to be subtext that Gus has all these gorgeous women interested in him, but the show seems to present that at face value….
(We never see hot guys approaching Mickey)
These are such a treat to read.
I feel so fortunate to grow up with BUFFY .
I wish her all the best!
It felt like home the moment it came on screen!
SCHNEIDER IS TOTAL EYE-CANDY!
Uh, hello, it's almost EXACTLY THE SAME Living Room set!
I started crying when I first saw it!
I think it's WONDERFUL and it's one of the things that kept me alive through the first days after the election!
I love this show so much, and I'm so HAPPY about this news!
She pushed "BOWLING GREEN MASSACRE" in three different interviews before she was called on it!
NOT "a mistake".
I especially love Beverly D'Angelo in the Ann-Margret version of STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE!
PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE, hello.
