I liked seeing her in a serious dramatic role.
I liked seeing her in a serious dramatic role.
The show reminded more of CHINA BEACH than MAD MEN; I liked it and it kept getting stronger throughout the season.
I am so sorry to hear this!
I really enjoyed this show, and it had potential to get even better!
I REALLY like dseeing Anna Camp is a more serious role.
My sister is working her way through the season now and also loving it.
"Joe" is a one-line character description wearing a Lee Pace suit.
WHOA, I was not expecting Tom to have so hot a body, with that vanilla pudding face!
THANK YOU, Cameron!!!!
When the show limits itself to Donna, Cameron & Bosworth, it is GOLDEN.
Yeah, and do I really wanna be around when it affects his children?
The acting, particularly Kerry Bishé as Donna, is much MUCH better than the material they are given.
I am not bailing yet, but I don't think this is going anywhere.
But I'll continue to follow Mackenzie Davis and Kerry Bishé! It was Davis's wonderful turn in the SAN JUNIPERO episode of BLACK MIRROR that made me sit down…
The music is smarter than the show!
I liked hearing Art Of Noise!
I don't think Joe is attracted to ANYONE; he just USES people regardless of their sex.
Frequently, this show is not as smart as it thinks it is.
But this was the first episode that I found myself thinking, "Do I want to keep watching this?"
I don't feel like I'm going to see anything new.
I think THE SHOW thought he was supposed to be, but the other characters, particularly Donna and Cameron, ended up WORKING so much better.
A big frustration I had with S1 is that I felt like Donna and Cameron were the most compelling characters, and the show kept saying, "NO, DON'T LOOK AT THEM!!! THIS IS ALL ABOUT JOE!!! THE GREAT JOE MCMILLAN!!!"
Time jumps can be a brave choice.
Time jumps filled in with lots of clunky exposition are not.
Let's be clear; that fault is in the writing. Lee Pace deserves better, and does as much as he can with what he's given.
ALL the cast is better than than the material.
That speech would have been a powerful scene.
i notice that a lot in this show; scenes that happen off-camera are probably better and more character-developing than what we actually DO see.
Embrace that he's an asshole and stop presenting him as a tortured hero?
The show seems to think he's a hero but , to me, he just comes across as an asshole.
If the show EMBRACED his assholism, we'd be getting somewhere.
