I LOOOOOVEEEEE the show and the creators of the show, but the people I saw on the message boards and tumblrs were CREEPS.
I stopped reading anything about the show because I want to experience it for myself, not through the prism of a bunch of MISERY™ style assholes.

cue Sondheim's NO ONE IS ALONE…

I kept waiting for that to pay off!

I'm so glad someone else noticed the change in quality after season 3!

The first three seasons were smart, sharp satire, but then the show seemed to fall in love with what it had been mocking, and that's when it became JUST a show about two cuddly drunks.

Such manipulation would usually feel like a total cheat to me; I don;t know why I didn't mind it in this case. Maybe because it was presented so earnestly,,,, or because I cared about Hopper so much by that time?
But any other show doing that, I would have been TURNED OFF.

The kids already look like teens on the press tour!

I also make it a point to never binge, it's usually not fun for me, because a big part of my enjoyment is thinking about what I've watched between episodes.
But this, this… this was a special case!
And a big part of that was I just wanted to hear THE THEME MUSIC again!
The sound design of this show is brilliant!

She also looks a little "prettied up" from the earlier episodes.

Barb just made SUCH an impression in such a short time; I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who wanted MORE of her!

Did anyone else imagine Dr. Brenner saying "I lose more employees that way…"?

Lucas's skepticism lasted a whole episode longer than it needed to.

If only Lucas had a character moment that showed WHY he felt so threatened by El breaking up the group….
