It felt like it got back on track with Ep5, but OITNB *DOES* need that air of menace!
Sometimes it seemed like we were watching a wacky summer camp, and I honestly was worried that The Closing Of Litchfield was going to lead to the inmates and guards declaring "LET'S PUT ON A SHOW!" to raise funds to keep Litch open in

I have to say, I APPRECIATE the show more if I limit myself to 1 episode a day.
Because I enjoy THINKING about what I've just seen just a much as watching it.

I enjoy Piper with A MISSION!
Much more interesting than Piper in Love!

For me, this has really been GLORIA'S season!

Maybe Chang and Norma's episodes coming right after each other lessened the effect.

BIG boxes
on a hillside
BIG boxes
made of ticky tacky…

The prisoners AND guards aren't even REAL PEOPLE to them; they just represent stock dividends.

… and it felt like it happened so NATURALLY and unforced.

Crank You For Being A Crank!

The review system is working much better here this time.
Last year, so many people finished the show and had moved on - or were oblivious to spoiling - before even the third episode review was posted.
its very interesting to me to see how this "WHOLE SEASON AT ONCE" delivery model is absorbed differently than the old

Its cool how LOSING THE LIBRARY + DRAMA CLASS = THE TIME HUMP CHRONICLES.

I agree!
They could've just spun off THE BOTWINS into a new show rather than continue WEEDS after Agrestic burned up.
It wouldn't have suffered so much in comparison to the first three seasons, which I loved.

I LOVE the character of Norma, and I'm a longtime Annie Golden lover.

… But this method is definitely working better than last year.

I genuinely feel it can be read both ways…
though I don't think it was intentionally written that way.

Caputo doesn't even know who to "reach out" to at MCC!

She is ALWAYS ready with a comment on MONSANTO™!

I would have rather had a flashback of how she figured out her secret prison life!
She must know EVERY NOOK & CRANNY of Litch!

This whole season, the colors are super-saturated and fakey.

Thank you!
As another commenter posted, "For a show that busts open stereotypes, it relies on them quite often."
