You didn’t, really (not that there’s anything wrong with being in favor of it!). Muriel just has poor reading comprehension and thinks “communism” is a scary bad word. But all you actually said was “no one needs a luxury yacht” and “rich people of the world, loosen your purse strings.” At MOST, that might be termed

Hey, remember when Donald Trump Sr. showed up to his son’s college to take him to a baseball game and instead slapped Donald Trump Jr. in the face in front of his friends for wearing a Yankees jersey instead of the family’s signature ill-fitting suit?

Any group photo which includes Sebastian Gorka yet identifies two of the other people depicted as “the biggest grifters in politics right now” is a remarkable group shot, indeed.

Oh, it’s not my theory. Political scientists have been writing about how the right’s been working the refs ever since the rise of Fox News and Rush Limbaugh. By constantly screaming about liberal bias, they’ve gotten the so-called media to treat Republicans with kid gloves. The things the media report about Trump are

Oh, I don’t think their radicalization is super quiet. Considering the Baileys were already aging white suburban Boomers pivoting towards Dubya *twenty years ago*, I’d say they’re WELL into the Fox News goosestep by now. There’s a Trump sticker on that car and a MAGA hat by the front door. Their oldest kid is morosely

She’s in New York laying low (and possibly recovering from a plastic surgery procedure). She never wanted any of this and being FLOTUS is not part of her contract with Trump. He’s in DC not caring at all that she’s in NYC because all his mental energy is going toward ragetweeting about Crooked Hillary and the moose

Yup. It’s got the same grammar, style, and tone used by the ghosts who write Trump’s tweets, only cleaned up to make her look a bit less illiterate than her husband.

Chuck knows, as do most intelligent people, that all the president has to do to lower gas prices is to turn down the “Gas Prices” dial in the white house.

For starters, he applauded the US embassy move to Jerusalem (while Palestinian protesters were getting killed). It doesn’t get any more progressive than this.

We’re looking for a talented writer/producer who can do four key things:

He’s a standard issue Wallstreet Democrat. Which makes him the worst possible person to lead the party in the time of Trump under any circumstance.

For many Democratic leaders and elites, it will always be 1992 in America. The rulebook Democrats decided to play by in the 90s attracted wealthy donors and corporate interests. It got 8 years of the Clintons and 8 years of Obama. Who cares if on every other level it has been pretty much a disaster? The donors are

That a Democrat who takes corporate money, profits off foreclosure, doesn’t live here, doesn’t send his kids to our schools, doesn’t drink our water or breathe our air, cannot possibly represent us.

Y’know what they say - Liches get stitches...

There is nothing more “10 years ago in American politics” than centrist Democrats standing in a gas station parking lot. This is perfect.

The Republicans have put more effort into working the refs than developing their game ever since Newt Gingrich became Speaker. Because they have never had any principles beyond a single-minded devotion to totally unregulated capitalism, which doesn’t require them to actually play the game, but merely prevent the other

Former red state TV guy here.

I’m very firmly in this camp. I loved a lot of it (mostly its audacity to frustrate expectations), hated some of it (the clunky dialogue, inconsistent characterizations, and the implausibility of the chase plot and overly long casino sequence), was entertained by most of it (the action sequences and trippier scenes),

I completely understand both sides of it. And I don’t know if it’s a good film that makes me see all the different nuances, or if it’s a bad film that I can go either way with. In the end I think the good bits outnumber the bad bits.

I do not understand the “Actually, the prequels were good, guys” hipsters at all. They were terrible movies. I’m not even an original trilogy humper. SW itself has always been “fine” to me, so I’m not married to the idea that the movies have to do justice to the original material.
