Star Wars has always lived by Saturday morning cartoon rules

Kenobi is never going to respect that title, especially as it replaced his apprentice’s real name. But also because Lucas made all this up as he went along. I guess it’s a title like Lord.

They did the same thing with Force Awakens and  Kylo’s fight, where they show that he’s bleeding heavily because he was shot with a crossbow, thus Rey could beat him.

It was fine. Felt very much like fan fiction but it was entertaining

That’s what I liked about the 2018 Halloween, they just ignore all the other ones and the first one was enough to turn Jamie Lee Curtis into a paranoid mess.

True, the whole thing is a commentary about gaining fame

Really Sidney’s been through enough, the odds of this many serial killer situations happening to her were getting cartoony since the third one.

He’s a bit under the ground, er, weather the past few years

The frog DNA helps them breathe better

JW felt like a proper one-off finale. You really can’t top that fight at the end and I don’t buy that the escaped dinosaurs could possibly sustain a population on the mainland or just get captured/shot.

As long as they bring back the talking dream raptor I’m all in

Upon rewatch he does say “when I left you” which I misremembered as “when we last met”, but he also acts like they haven’t met in a very long time. I guess 9 years is still a while but it still cuts the dramatic tension of that scene.

Joe Buck has rehabbed his reputation quite a bit over the years. I think his dad’s shadow and him growing up some has helped immensely. He started super- young on the national sportscasts and can call games so much better now. He also has a sense of humor about himself which helps.

I’ve disliked the direction of Jeopardy in general ever since they started the special celebrity Daily Doubles and whatnot. It undermined its timeless and classy veneer. I also am not crazy about fan campaigns and trying to guilt your way into a gig, so the situation with LeVar always rubbed me the wrong way.

He was going for the weird old-timey vibe. Also he’s not good at dialogue.

Same here, I can see them making Obi-Wan and Leia meeting work, but not him fighting Vader. I guess they do solve a plot-hole as to how Obi-Wan found out Vader was alive, but it also makes me wonder why they didn’t decide to try and take out the Emperor if he was the only Sith left.

They should’ve had him do the Donnie voice with subtitles

I always felt that was more of an appeal to his sense of duty to Bail.
