Robert was mad that Picard broke all of father’s rules. Like the not letting mom kill herself rule.

Any Hoffas in there?
Any Hoffas in there?
It is weird that Picard essentially has servants, and refugee ones. Like his family did have an old chateau so some level of inheritance is there (and only because they provide a service in making wine that’s presumably free), but to act like there’ s a class system in Star Trek is antithetical to the future they…
Yeah, everyone seems to love drinking in new Star Trek, and while that was a thing in older Trek it didn’t feel as...juvenile? Rios’ cigar feels like they needed to give him an Earl Grey or coffee thing. I’m sure some still do smoke especially if it’s a cultural thing, but he should get some clapback from other…
I forgot that happened. I can’t keep up with the conglomerations
Yeah, it’s weird that one of the only Hispanic characters in Trek ever gets kidnapped by ICE and rescued by a spunky single mom. Also he loves cigars and alcohol and might choose to stay in the past for some godforsaken reason.
Yeah, I think they’ll try to do different shows based on different audiences. And by audiences I mean market demographics. But hey, what else can you expect nowadays. If a few are decent I’ll be glad for some new Trek.
Where’s this sequel series? Set in the 90's!
I wouldn’t say it’s worse than any of those examples but it all snowballs into each other being serialized. So an overall weaker season vs a DS9 where the good cancels out the awful.
Honestly the borg have sucked since First Contact, so I don’t blame them too much for that. But the overall plot is a mess and they keep getting sidetracked with shit that goes nowhere.
It sucks because TNG and DS9 absolutely had trauma, but most (not all) characters weren’t shackled by it. In an idealistic future they went to therapy with no shame (except the Obriens) and put duty above all else.
The writers did Raffi dirty, poverty is over in the future but they go ahead and make the only black female captain a junkie deadbeat mom who lives in poverty seemingly by choice in a post-scarcity society.
I want to say they have, but Discovery especially got ordered to be like Game of Thrones/Breaking bad so they had to make it a bingeshow with everything intertwined, so when something sucked it dragged the entire premise with it. Same for Picard with the added pressure of TNG memberberries.
You better not be playing me man!
Who wanted this?!
Perhaps they beat the shit out of him instead of putting him to sleep
It reeks of “and then this happens, and then this happens- oh wait we’re out of time let’s wrap it all up!”
I never liked the Borg Queen, but I kind of like the idea of Agnes being the cause of what should be an anomaly in the collective via time travel paradox.
