I don’t hate all of it but it’s just too much stuffed into a 10 episode season and they always run out of time to resolve it coherently. They also don’t need to keep referencing the past. I know they want to do right by the old fans but there’s more to it than throwing in Star Trek IV lines.

Stewart sounded much healthier in this than I’ve heard in a long time. Hopefully that means he’s doing well 

I think him and Guinan are on that borderline-cast level like Nurse Chapel was. It would be good to see or hear what he’s been doing, but he really wasn’t part of the main cast itself.

I also love the scene where Ezri calls out the Klingon Empire’s BS and inspires him to challenge Gowron. As much as she was in Jadzia’s shadow she did well with the little time she had.

That was my reaction. Would be bold if they killed Picard for real this season and then have a season titled The Rise of Picard but with someone not related to him, they just steal his name!
