Data was captain, I think Geordi was helping Spock with the Jellyfish

They completely forgot about that by Nemesis. I think they made him captain of the Enterprise in a book

They understand that Star Trek does social issues but not how to create new and engaging plots, aliens and characters that can be allegories to our time. They seem in a bind where they have to mine older material for the nostalgiaporn.

Too many Cuocos spoil the broth

Bad taste, but actually funny. People always allow for bad taste jokes if they’re actually funny, and her joke wasn’t.

I found his yelling more unsettling than the slap itself, but it was by no means traumatic.

I hate the sexism levied at her, but she just isn’t that memorable. The whole being a senator’s niece thing also makes me thing she’s gotten more than a few free passes in life.

I swear most comedians are somewhat sociopathic. Like, in her head she probably thinks “this is the joke I was GOING to tell, but I didn’t. (proceeds to tell joke anyway) look at how NICE I am for not telling this joke!”

Besides Red Dead Redemption I have almost no nostalgia or even memory of the system the way I do for all the other ones, even PS4 which I still use.

I felt for George in his interactions with that woman (she was his mechanics daughter or a family friend IIRC)- I’ve had certain people especially at work who just see me at my weirdest moments and I never fail to sound like a crazy person or a moron around them.

Why didn’t Trump just do this?

May she live on as a doll who nags him about how fast he eats

Same here, in my mid-30's I’ve been trying to get into some newer stuff. A lot of it is godawful but if you listen back on the deep cuts from the early 00's as objective as you can, that stuff might have been even worse.

It’s astounding just how long the band has been around. They’re basically the same age as Motley Crue, but don’t feel like 80's relics. By no means do they not look weird with 20 year olds (especially if Anthony is hitting on them) but their fanbase ranges from teenagers to 60 year olds who were there for their early

That song and Tangelo are a great 1-2 punch.

Kiedis relapsed hard after a dentist accidentally gave him morphine, and it shows in the writing for some of the songs. Flea had to write a few, like Pea, and the lyrics are pretty bad.

Yeah it’s hard to say due to how soon it is. The older albums are from very specific and formative times for me, so comparing its impact to them is kind of unfair. But at the very least it’s on a level above other bands’ latter work (ie: Rolling Stones, Motley Crue, etc.) and it’s impressive they don’t just rest on
