This is one of my favorite stories on this site, wow, something about the tone is so appealing. I can’t relate to the specific scenario, but the way you describe adolescent years, navigating online and irl friends, their differing personalities, not feeling like you have anywhere to escape to. Brilliantly written.

This is a very smart move, honestly - it’s not like he needs to appeal to the teens/20 somethings that need to hear their favorite Fortnite streamer say the funny fuck word, he’s trying to broaden the viewers and appeal to the next generation.
