This raises another question, possibly enough to be a Jalopnik (or Oppo) article of its own:
How about a pair of clunky white New Balance Dad shoes paired with a Canadian Tuxedo?
Funny thing—I was at a media event on Tuesday where I got to drive around 20 cars. Of those, only two (Mazda 3 and Miata) were stick.
Anyone not voting NP has no soul idea how to drive a stick.
3 grand is fun weekend toy/project car all day. Anyone not voting NP has no soul.
Some people watch pimple popping. David Tracy watches rusted out frame restorations.
This would be classified as a motorcycle under US regulations, and wouldn’t have to meet safety requirements. With 4 wheels it could never be released.
They’re brand new light housings and bulbs.
None of the cars are in running condition.
There are people that toss away that kind of money for booze and “herbal therapy products”. A much better choice of expenditure and it provided fodder for Jalop Blog Posts, too.
Restored? That’s not what he did with that Jeep.
I wouldn't exactly say Postal is "restored". Hell, I wouldn't even call it roadworthy.
As the manager of an auto parts business years ago, we had some for deliveries. When needed, I would take one home, and use it at night. More than once I told a young lady, I had a ‘Vette outside. (Insert their disappointment).
While I’m not in the market for a car like this, the only reason that younger people don’t buy these is because of outdated bias, back when Corvettes were really and truly mullet-mobiles.
Let’s be honest, this car is going to be awesome, but I think something is being lost by not being front engine any more.
Well, they don’t have thumbs. Not like monkeys. But damn are they good with what they have. I know actual people who have more difficulty with some locks than raccoons do.
The ‘15 WRX I had was trouble free outside of a bad battery. Same can be said of my ‘16 Accord. My quality disappointments have been with cars from earlier times.
I don’t know... It’s pretty cool, but making an unusual vehicle go fast is only a mild engineering challenge for those used to making things go fast. I want to see the thing till or plant corn at 100mph. Now THAT would be a serious engineering challenge.
