Counterpoint: The Karlmann King appears to be the absolute finest movie car for the antagonist in a near-future dystopian setting I’ve ever seen.
“Are the range numbers estimates going to be accurate if this truck is loaded with the family and towing a boat up the grade to Tahoe for the weekend?”
Thank god. It’s bad enough having 4.0 I6 jeeps tailgate me and drive aggressively. I don’t need Fred Durst lookalikes roaming around in 700hp mall-crawlers with 6 inch lifts ok, I can’t just watch someone crash and not stop to help. Don’t make me help Fred Durst or people who look like him
Same here but I didn’t notice the manual. Not that it matters. 🤣
*Reads headline. Immediately starts scrolling to vote “CP”. Pauses for just a moment to notice the 3 pedals and stick. Shakes it off, scrolls and clicks CP.
I really despise those kinds of stories that start with a “Do you want to feel old today? Here’s something you’re…
Oh man. I hope I'm wrong, but I assumed he was picking up his daughter from college. If so that makes your skeevy comment so much more skeevy.
Cool. Now test a GFCI outlet by taking a toaster into the tub with you.
It both pains and amazes me to read these articles David. Iffn you can’t get the DJ up and running in time for MOAB I have a clapped out 3rd gen 4runner you are welcome to take (with the caveat that you’ll zip tie repair anything you break on the way there / there / back).
WHERE DOES THIS END? This is going to end up looking like one of those tractor pull trucks by the time they are done. Hell it already does.
Like seriously... these guys are mad mechanics, I love these vids.
I’ve said it a million times. We could probably eliminate a substantial amount of these injuries and deaths if city planners would discontinue the idiotic practice of giving pedestrians and cars the right of way to the same space at the same time. When pedestrians get the walk light, they should not have to be dodging…
...
This is actually quite ingenious.
Have you ever fell asleep for even a second behind the wheel? If so, do you consider yourself a dangerous idiot?
If he’s prone to falling asleep at the wheel, maybe he shouldn’t be driving a car anymore. I don’t care how old he is and/or how much “respect” anyone feels he’s entitled to by benefiting from modern medicine, but he’s a danger to the rest of the road users around him, and should probably have his license removed.
It felt like pushing a stick around in a bucket of rocks.
I know the article describes how small the car is... but I didn’t appreciate it until I saw Michael Ballaban driving in the video. Every time he inhaled, his chest almost touched the steering wheel. You need to surgically reduce the length of your arms to drive this comfortably! ( I want one so badly, it’s beautiful!)
