I think he had a chip on his shoulder in those early days as most people viewed him as kind of a “slacker rock” act, while he was busting his ass making music and playing shows and doing everything possible to make it. So I think he’s mellowed (pun intended) over time, but during that period he had to overcompensate

Congress will get nothing done. They can’t even get enough Democrats to pass things with a simple majority in the Senate. And as Biden continues to champion anti-choice “Democrats” it’s not likely to change any time soon. This is more “aw shucks we’d really like to do something but our hands are just plain tied”.

Yes, she has directed before, mostly shorts and music videos. IMDb lists 10 directing credits. So yeah, a director who has previously done shorts and music videos is “finally” directing a feature.

The article addresses this in the last section. The court is well aware that Congress is a deadlocked mess, thanks to obstructionists whose sole goal is making sure the current administration fails to implement anything meaningful.

Man, that live action Airbender series is gonna get crapped out and immediately forgotten, huh

It honestly doesn’t sound like Warm Bodies at all?

I never said any of this was okay. It’s not okay when Facebook does it, when Google does it, when the US gov does it, or when China does it. I’ve stated it’s not okay on all fronts. But it’s also DIFFERENT. You can’t say it isn’t different.

Absolutely I’m sympathetic to the students dealing with a system that is stacked against them. But I can ALSO see why some students felt an obligation to come clean. I can definitely understand why some didn’t, for the exact reasons you stated, and I completely get that mentality and have sympathy for them. But this

Also, why students eventually DID talk.

It’s weird that this review seems to ... kinda come down on the whistleblower students like “Why would they throw their future away?”

Because literally the last thing I just said.

I mean, there’s a big difference between Facebook and Google and the US Government. Again, I mentioned those companies because companies, in general, are motivated by little more than money and their data collection is done for the sole purpose of seeing how they can maximize the money they get from you.

Are there “white” foreign countries’ apps that have specifically been shown to be sharing their data with that country’s government? Because if that’s the case then absolutely those companies should be called out as well.

It’s not GOOD that Facebook has your data, but the optimistic look is that their ultimate goal is to monetize you. They have surely facilitated awful things through their platform, from Cambridge Analytica to straight up genocide in Myanmar, but as far as data collection goes, Facebook wants money.

I mean, there’s a difference between a company collecting and storing data and a country collecting and storing data. Both are bad, but there is a distinction. Remarking on the government of China collecting and storing data of US citizens is not “xenophobic”.

I read the entire comic and still don’t have a single idea of what was going on.

So, if Autopilot is essential, and without the focus on self-driving/autopilot, Tesla is basically worth zero, and a huge swatch of autopilot focused employees were just fired, thennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN..

I can’t even think of a piece of dystopian fiction where a country spies on another country’s users by creating the hottest new app and getting a bunch of people do go nuts over it. But I’m sure one exists.

Ah, Scoot McNairy, the thinking man’s Skeet Ulrich.

She was (rightfully) grossed out by creepy comments, but wasn’t Drake like actively trying to groom her openly and in public a few years back?
