Are those the same people who got mad that Black Panther didn’t have enough actors who were literally from Africa?

“Coded as queer in the film but is canonically gay in the comics”.
Twitter is a place where I’ve made friends with similar interests, and gotten news in real time. But I’ve come to depend on it in a way that is detrimental to my mental health. Doomscrolling and information overload is at a peak, and I’ve been looking for a reason to bail. This would be the perfect incentive.
595 NEVER looks calm. I’ve driven on that road most of my life, it’s a completely elevated and walled off highway. It never “tricks” you, it’s ALWAYS dangerous, and quite obviously so. This is a horrible accident, but there’s absolutely no way to be on 595 and NOT realize how dangerous it would be to try to cross it…
You keep saying that FL highways are “hidden” or “disguised as residential areas”...that’s not at all what 595 is. It’s an almost entirely elevated highway that is really only accessible by the on ramps. There’s nothing disguised about it, if you’re on it, you absolutely know you’re on a highway.
595 is worse than just limited shoulders, it’s an almost completely separated, elevated highway that, other than on/off ramps, has no real way to get off of it and onto solid ground. It’s walled on all sides, and I’d never want to have to walk on it.
Colbert joins the ranks of...literally everyone in the US, who will, if they haven’t already, contract COVID. I’m not exaggerating, this is actual public policy as funneled through representatives of the government. We’re just full on “everyone’s gonna get it” in pure Ivan Drago “if you die, you die” contempt for…
This is like, infuriatingly vague. I mean, all clickbaiting aside, it was apparently a serious enough complaint to merit shutting down the entire production, which seems like a big deal.
None of that corresponds with what Musk is saying, which is that he wants a self-sustaining city which anyone can go to who wants to within a few decades. If you’re saying he’s an overpromising, underdelivering, self-mythologizing blowhard, then we’re in agreement.
The ISS, at any given time, has a crew of seven. That is not a “self sustaining city”.
Those countries already have an existing group of workers that are doing those necessary tasks. Unless you think Musk plans on enslaving native Martians to handle the day to day “lower class” tasks, they’re going to need workers beyond engineers, scientists and doctors to have a “self sustaining society”.
He IS making fairly empty threats for attention, likely because he CAN’T single-handedly do what he’s saying he wants to do.
Do me a favor and tell me what the bill says DIRECTLY after the phrase about “Grades K through three”. It’s right there, in the same sentence. Can’t miss it (unless you want to).
I mean, also the beaches, but yeah.
Florida is the third most populous state in the US, and Republicans typically win by very small margins. It’s mostly a gerrymandering thing but also a voter suppression thing.
“Or maybe Florida will fail to shut down the district and nothing will change for anyone.”
This is one of those cases where paragraph six of the fawning article about your bootstraps mentions “only a small inheritance of 50k from your grandparents” or some bullshit like that.
You made a couple thousand in 6 months. Keep up that pace and you’ll have enough to make it to Mars in...25 years! Just spend the next quarter century living an austerity lifestyle, so you can blow every cent of it on a one way trip to Mars, where you’ll likely end up in a menial lower class position doing chores for…
“Educated to get an in-demand job” do you think Mars won’t need a working class to do tasks that are “undesirable”? A self-sustaining society isn’t comprised solely of elite educated people.
