I think it’s a Kinja thing, I was grayed on io9 for no reason a few months back.

It didn’t even get the customary Netflix 2 seasons before getting axed.

Gregory Paul is a very respected figure in the paleo community and I feel like he tends toward condensing different dino genera and species, rather than adding new ones (I think he was a major proponent in combining Dracorex, Stygimoloch, and Pachycephalosaurus into one dinosaur at different growth stages).

He makes a lot of pretty wild accusations, that Wood coached other victims and hacked into his social media accounts and impersonated an FBI agent.

Yeah I don’t understand why something is called a “good idea” without considering whether it’s a workable idea in this review.

Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian would have been interesting if it came out when it was supposed to.

I’m pretty sure in regards to McGregor in Jungle Cruise, it’s fairly explicit (unless you’re watching the Chinese version where the scene in which he discusses it is cut).

He’s saying the character didn’t go far enough to warrant all the hype around the “first explicitly gay moment”. At the time it was touted as a big deal. He’s saying it WASN’T a big deal, and if Disney was going to hype it up as such, it should have gone further than two guys dancing for a second.

The problem is, I think, that it’s being pushed so often and aggressively that it just wears people down until some part of their brain thinks “there’s gotta be something to it, it’s everywhere”.

Once 401ks start adding crypto to their portfolio, the eventually fallout will be absolutely massive.

These mandates are weird.

There was a Zoolander 2?

I’m not sure if it was Polygon, but I remember a few months back a bunch of artists I was following jumped on this supposedly eco-friendly NFT bandwagon, and it turns out the founders were just run of the mill crypto bros making statements that nobody had actually independently verified.

Cool well, while you’re living your life, someone probably just got elected in your local school board who thinks Hillary Clinton drinks baby blood or whatever.

That actually was a huge mobilization of the left that stands out as a major exception, because it actually stayed at the top of the overall discussion for a very long time. That barely ever happens with issues on the left, and I suppose it’s less about mobilization and more about how the media and government treat

The problem is, that outrage doesn’t really travel beyond the far left and they get distracted by the next shiny thing within an hour. Right wingers can get their gripes picked up on by “mainstream” media, and have it dominate the discussion for weeks or months.

If there’s one thing the right is insanely good at, it’s getting their mob worked up about things. Why can’t the left, or even the center left (especially the center left) get people mobilized as much?

The frontman of Eve6 recently announced that the music they have control over has been removed from Spotify and moved to Tidal.

I do wonder if lots of money makes people go off the deep end, or if it just kind of lets people have the freedom to explore mental issues that were already present.

Yknow, for a while it seemed like artists were doing a direct “pay whatever you want” approach, where you could download the item and pay anything (Radiohead toyed with this, and Run the Jewels I think still does it to this day).
