Uhh... Actually with the way things are going, I just might, and soon.

Beautiful!

That's why you can't be granny shifting and gotta be double clutching; It really adds up.

"And that is why at best you will be just a system admin."
Only ok when you do it? Guess it's your hypocritical human side which you're not aware of again...
Go away already, tool.

That's good, keep struggling with social interactions. There is more to life than tech and being someone's tool for a living. Enjoy being a one trick pony that never quite grasped the human side of anything.

lol... ok bud... stick to that...

Yes you can.

You confused 'esxi vsphere' with 'vcenter' and were still wrong because you don't need more than one host to run vcenter. 'vSphere' is 'ESXi' it's not a new product it's the same thing... And I'm not confusing the 'vsphere/vcenter c# client' with the 'vsphere esxi hypervisor' or 'vcenter management servers', that's

Well that is nit picky as fuck and almost a "I'm only saying this to feel smart and insult you" type thing. You knew exactly what he meant and if someone can make a vm of an OS they aren't 100% sold on then it's just smart to do that before building out a full PC. Also you don't need to have a cluster to run vcenter,

There are actually patches (or unlockers) for esxi to run OSx natively without any special boot loaders. Google "esxi OSx unlocker". I've been running OSx server, windows 7 and freenas on my home esxi host for about 3 years now. It's so much better than having 3 separate boxes for different things.

No sir, that was 99% joke...
However; Simply saying to paraphrase is way too simplified because the 'it's not what you say, it's how you say it' thing will be sure to bite you in the ass if you don't keep it in mind.

So I'm hearing from you that I need to be slick about it, am I hearing you right? ;)

You're right if you are doing your own repairs.

I don't know I could see that being extremely annoying when tempers are already short.

That's something that someone with no friends would say.

I did this before it was cool/on lifehacker.

I'm not sure what all the rave is about using anything other then the built in methods. Yeah they might take a little more knowledge to set up to work from outside but you don't have to install garbage on your pc/mac.

Don't worry I am a major Giz reader and I saw the article and didn't even bother to read it because it didn't make any sense. I browsed through it and kinda thought what you basically said in the 1st paragraph of this article.

Seagate had a horrrrrrrible batch of drives about the time that they introduced the 1tb and 2tb drives. That said I've been using 4 of their 2TB drives I bought about 4 years ago and I've had great luck with them. Not a single failure in 4 years of 24/7 365 operation.
