I hear you. But these people watch a show they claim is garbage and then come here and complain about it. Let them waste their lives doing that; you can love what you love without their permission.

It's annoying, but I feel like those particular commenters just want attention. They're becoming boring. I usually try to let them stew in their complaints (not that I always succeed, but I try).

Oh, there are plenty of female misogynists, I just don't think this reviewer is one. Just that she should pay a little more attention sometimes?

Oh good god yes. This show, while not perfect, is really the best adaptation I've ever seen. Move over, Shawshank Redemption.

True.

There are always going to be people who don't get it, not always because the show wasn't clear enough.

I don't think she hates women…but her misreading of the opening scene made me scratch my head. You don't have to be a book reader to apply a little logic.

"Here! HERE!" I shrieked. "It is the beating of his hideous tennis ball!!"

That scene made me think, "Man, Elizabeth is just a master gaslighter."

Is Gabriel really going to ask the Centre, or was that a test and Elizabeth just failed?

You're calling names; fill in your own blanks.

Calling people deluded and desperate for liking a television show, then loftily expressing disgust that nobody knows "how to debate a point anymore without taking offense" ? Yep, you had me going, but you're unquestionably a troll. You went a step too far there!

Those of us who do like it, DO actually like it. Nobody is calling you names or sneering at you because you don't. I wonder why you can't extend the same courtesy. It's ok to like the show. It's ok not to like the show. It's not ok to be a dick.

I asked her on last week's thread if she just gets off on shitting on something other people are enjoying; her response was that I'm a bully and everyone here knows it.
So. Yeah.

Everyone? Unlikely, based on the upvotes and comments I've received.
You mistake your own opinions for factual reality.

I remember that, but the show made a point of Fergus saying he was "not a whore". I'm assuming that was deliberate (at least I hope).

Nobody's bullying anybody. Add that to the list of words you don't understand the meaning and appropriate usage of.

I like your take on that scene, actually. I think it works if it transpires that that it what actually happened off screen.

I did think it was odd that they were just ok again without any discussion. It was jarring. That aside, it's solid. Season 2 seems to be getting better with every episode.

Yeah, clearly Starz is going to cancel their flagship, the biggest show they've ever run, because ONLY 1 million + are watching live every Saturday at nine.
Do you guys get a kick out of crapping on things other people like?
