"honestly, my intent isn't to try to make nice, happy people feel like their show is stupid or that they are stupid for liking it."

Jesus, you're impatient. It would be poor writing to have him just *boom* get over it, because it's totally unrealistic, but you seem to want that. Didn't happen in the book; won't happen in the show. They will reconnect, I have no doubt. Can't wait to hear how disappointed you are! (Not really) ;)

BS? "The Recovery" is ongoing even in book 8, so don't really know what you're talking about. Did you want them to get it over with in one episode? Also, there's 11 more episodes, but I'm sure you'll be dissatisfied however it plays out.

Sorry, I don't agree. Have a great time hate watching.

*shrug* The books haven't "turned into" anything; they will always be the same as they ever were. The show is something different. You don't like it, fine. You seem to be in the minority, though.

I agree. I think that's why the BJR reveal changed from the book version.

Nope, definitely Behr.
I'm glad all the characters are fleshed out and not mere cardboard cutouts that kill screen time when it's not the J&C show. It's not always the same as the book but it's still good. I'd be bored if it followed too closely.

It's like I watched a totally different episode. It seems like some book readers get really upset when the writers spend time on anything other than Jamie and Claire, but it's necessary to tell a good story. I think this was a fantastic episode. Tonally similar to "By the Pricking of my Thumbs" which ISB also wrote,

I agree with the first half of your comment. There are always things to say about rape, but in the context of fiction, we shouldn't forget about the story entirely. The hitfix reviewer got bogged down in politics instead of reviewing the show. Rape being part of a story doesn't invalidate the story itself.
