Women will complain about anything these days. It’s like, if you don’t want to have your face ejaculated on, don’t injure your shoulder...seems pretty simple to me.

No. I’m pretty sure we wouldn’t hold a GOP woman responsible for her husband’s actions. Because we’re actually feminists and more the sort of people who disregard feminism to such a point that we reduce it to gotcha-politics.

Seriously, it's not really biased if you can think for yourself and read up on the rest of the case online. It's really just showing how poor people get fucked by the system. And if you don't sympathize with Steven, you definitely will with Brendan.

It’s not that biased. It’s from the defense and family’s perspective, but they asked the prosecution if they wanted to be in it repeatedly and they said no. The trial was about 6-7 weeks so they had to cut down all that footage to 10 hours. Obviously not everything is going to be shown. The point was never to paint

I watched it and then read about it. It was an interesting thing because I’m leaning towards he’s guilty but also didn’t get the fairest trial. And his nephew definitely didn’t. Good for making you think in uncomfortable ways. There are questions that remain unanswered on both sides.

Read - Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson. It addresses the same things (institutional corruption, prosecutorial misconduct, circumstantial evidence being the crux of wrongful convictions) but is centered on the inherent racism of the system and just how fucking disgusting our “justice” system is.

A supervisor was in on it. It seems to be essentially part of the benefits package. As disgusted as I am, I wish I could say I’m more shocked. Just another form of systematic violence and oppression against POC and women.

“Why is there no oversight?”

The GOP has been slashing budgets for virtually any kind of oversight anywhere and hence, there is virtually *no oversight* left.

At least 50 workers...have been terminated.

I think there was a study done on Wall St types that confirmed this at some point...

I don’t get the creepy factor at all. My friend did this for her sister in law (twice!) and it was really the perfect surrogate scenario. She already has her own kids and has an extra special connection to her niece and nephew and helped out her brother and his wife! I hope everyone on here realizes that they are

Not really, it’s one of the most loving things imaginable. Giving up your body to allow your daughter to be a mother. There is no genetic issue, no one has had sex with someone they are related to. I think however you feel is more about you than them.

If my sister were infertile i’d carry it for her. I think that’s pretty common. Would you call that incest? Or is it just creepyto you, because it’s the mother?

so saaaad! I guess a good therapy could have spared a campaign.

This is a crazy hypothesis but what if these two crazy kids met at a rich person party, but that didn’t seem cool enough so they LIED— just like I lied about every boyfriend I “met at a coffee shop” because I was embarrassed about online dating, but in reverse, because now it’s trendy to meet on Tinder?!

just give the man his pizza!!!! (this story has been the funniest to me all election season).

“hey how’s it going” “I LOVE MY MOTHER MORE THAN MY DAD”

yo babs was the ONLY ONE who said he shouldn’t run for president and i think he bitterly resents his father for making him do this when he just wants to sit at home and cook with mom

i’m pretty sure he’s not allowed to say he loves anyone more than his mother

this hurts me to read
