Yep, it’s pretty much the same realisation that most of us have had about the colonial past of countries we live in - “oh shit, I live on a site of mass genocide, why don’t people talk about that more?”

I think he was referring what he was told (not told) about Israel during his formative years, or at least that’s the impression I got from reading the article. Doesn’t seem disingenuous or stupid to me to believe what you learn from your parents and religious community as a child, and everyone has a different…
Riverdale disrespected Josie, Val, and Melody. It treats Toni as an afterthought, and the most the show can think to show latinx culture is just to say “mija” every other line.
Right? Wtf.
Seth Rogen is disingenuous or really stupid.
It’s really tragic to watch these (usually) poor women think these men, who are (usually) trashy poor guys, are going to introduce them to the American dream, but instead introduce them to a messy, shitty apartment that they’re expected to clean. It happens 75% of the time on this show.
Agreed. The UK and the USA are by far the worst. I have been to France quite a bit, as well as Brittany. The brits, especially the english, love their booze cruises, and when drunk, the men are appallingly racist and sexist to the European staff, mostly young females. I’ve actually intervened a few times... And…
And the whole foreign bride market from very poor communities is pretty terrible. Things are so bad for some of these women in their home countries that being a servant wife is preferable to living in a run down shack.
Hi, British here. Our bad tourists really are the worst of the worst. If I hear a familiar accent in a bar in Europe, I instinctively cringe just in case. I hate that this is a thing but it’s true. My grandparents, who would have been absolutely horrified by the comparison to the characters in Benidorm, actually…
Almost 15 years ago, I had the privilege of spending my summer in South Africa, working at a health clinic in the Langa Township in Cape Town through one of those first world “humanitarian” organizations. My opinion on that experience is a whole other story. The majority of the people who participated in the program we…
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’s “other way” is a reversal from the parent show’s premise where subjects have to marry in 90 days on K-1 visas to stay in the U.S.
The show is such a mess. The couples can basically be split into three categories: older man trying to get with a much younger woman while his family screams that she is a gold digger even though the guy is a walking red flag, couple that originally started as a vacation fling but is trying to stay together due to an…
I see it right down the middle.
I LOVE this show, for all the reasons listed above. My favorite is how little research most of these women have done on their new “home” countries and how they assume that society/their significant other will grow to accept their American tendencies. You can’t make the rest of the world accept your ‘Merican-ness!
I just sampled that song.
That tweet is exactly what happens when you don’t let biracial people be biracial.
my girl is up in iqaluit where they’ve managed to have no cases, but they’ve done it by mandating a 14 day isolation period in the southern cities before you can even get on a plane to fly north. were she to visit me it would be at least that, if not twice. and there’s no non-essential travel anyway. I haven’t seen…
Wait am I supposed to care that she was sick? Cause I don’t. I mean she mocked those concerned for their health, fuck her. I mean if she doesn’t want to be black she should call Candace Owens and Jason Whitlock. They seem to not want to be on the team either
I am dumber simply for knowing who she is.
