I remember the very first season of ANTM, when an early stunt was to have the girls modeling swimwear... outdoors... in the middle of winter. Idea being that models need to do a good job selling clothes photographed out of season, and “model through it!” pretending not to be freezing freakin’ cold.

I’m sorry you experienced that. My god, that shit is so upsetting. Tyra often seemed to cast herself as some kind of hero protecting the new young girls from the evils of modeling that she experienced. Yet she would proceed to do traumatic things like this.
