I can imagine the conversation if he did have a PR.

PR: “Ok Sean, take it easy and just say what the games about and what’s in it.”

Sean: “There will be faction wars!”

PR: “Ok Sean, that didn’t go well because you know we don’t have it. Tell them something else to help pave that over.”

Sean: “We have multiplayer!”

PR: “I’m

100% on point, there’s so many features they were dishonest about. I get overpromising, but as soon as you launch without addressing what is and is not in the game, and then remain silent on missing feature, you go from innocently over promising and not being able to deliver to downright dishonesty and lying.

Incorrect, the patch notes say they did, but the version they patched also didn’t have planets moving. In other words: They reduced it from 0 to 0, and then added a note.

I’m more angry about the silence afterwards than I am about some of the missing features.

It worked, but Sean Murray and his team are all young, if they don’t follow through with their promises they will have a stink following them. Even then I think Sean Murray’s career beyond NMS may actually be over, I can say at least anecdotally that quite a few people will never buy another game with his name

I feel I’m going hoarse from complaining about Murray and NMS and how this was literally a scam so this is going to be my last bit of bitching.

It doesn’t take a PR person to keep you from outright lying to your customers. Any decent developer already knows that.

I will never understand foodplay. Delivery pizza AFTER sex is always a plus though

While I personally don’t have a problem with the MLP pron, I feel like including the gif on the main page was kind of a dick move.

lol

Parent thumbs-up: Monitoring your 14-year-old’s online activity when you notice suspicious behavior.

There should never ever be a situation where a player has to wonder if they’re encountering a puzzle in a game or whether the functionality hasn’t yet been implemented.

This assumes they actually serve a purpose. Seeing that 99% of the things in this game don't, I think it's a safe guess to assume they're working as intended (by having no function).

Gee yet another feature the devs likely removed from the finished game? Colour me shocked. /s

Cut content, almost surely. There’s no mystery, secret, or puzzle involved. Nothing in No Man’s Sky is that deep.

Hey, maybe Youtube will go back to being a place for people to share videos rather than a place where people go to try and make money by imposing their face over something that somebody else made.

I’d normally say something like “you do you”, be yourself and be comfortable with who you are. Go ahead and enjoy what you like.

I think in order for a game to prove anything it needs to be widely regarded as a success. Right now NMS is bombing with a dwindling fanbase, (down 78% of steam players from release day) a lot of silence regarding missing features, and a ton of refunds. We need to stop celebrating these developers like Murray and

Regardless of what they said two years ago, I have absolutely no problem with this game NOT being multiplayer. Im enjoying myself the way it is now.

Honestly? I consider this to be a plus. A significant portion of other gamers are jerks and not being able to directly interact just lowers the opportunities for griefing. I hope they don’t fix this
