No kidding- the loudest thing on the track at the Long Beach Grand Prix this year were the Porsches- even louder than the LMP1 “Cadillacs”. The quietest car? The M8.

I saw it at Luft on Sunday in person. i had zero idea it was a Singer. Quite the thing! I couldn’t figure out the contours of the paint, but it makes sense now! Something else.
this was #5, and each year, they find a better backdrop for these cars. who knew that a lumber yard would be an awesome place to look at Porsche’s (of a certain age)
Yeah, well, it was one of the coolest events ever. There was everything from pristine cars, to outlaw 356's, 911's and 914's, a few quite nicely “stanced” cars as well as several cars with Porsche engines and NOT Porsche bodies by a long shot.
Pedantic? There was nothing narrow minded about the event at all, with the…
the stripe is reminiscent of the original “turbo” graphic on 930s. there’s one at the Petersen right now
loved the show. Here was our family entry- 1987 911 G50. wearing the t-shirt today to work! Rad!
Hmmm....I have access to a 1987 911 and live in Orange County. This may need to happen.
I intentionally went and borrowed my dad’s 87 911, put the windows down and went for a long drive last night due to this. The local classic rock stations were playing NOTHING but Tom Petty last night. I figured it was a fitting tribute to the guy who indeed write some of the best driving songs of all time. RIP, Tom.
...spoken with a British accent and I approve.
I’m happy to say that’ I’ve seen this car in person- if you can go to a StanceWorks open house, do so.
Star. for. you!
LaFerrari 500 of 500 sold for $7 million, as stated on the info plaque at the Petersen Museum just this past weekend. I think this might go for a bit more than the estimated above.
that deserves a star!
the important question- is there a possibility of a manual trans????? inquiring minds and all that....

I almost lost my wife to pneumonia- a rare case of necrotizing streptococcus pneumonia. She was in the hospital for almost a month, had 4 doctors and was usually on a minimum of at least 4 different antibiotic drip IVs. She also had to have a chunk of her lung removed as it was dead- the stuff even infected her rib…
No. CP. why? a 6 series should NOT have more than TWO doors!!! want a 4 door? buy a 5 or 7.....AND GET OFF MY LAWN!!!! (ok, old BMW grump mode off now)
Subaru snob here- it’s sonic yellow, not “lemon”.....also, to be confused with “school bus” and “lane stripe” yellow. Also, voting CP as 7500 is a little much, even with a new lump under the hood.
From someone who has helped change out the shifter linkage and the little blocks that keep it shifting nicely, I can attest to the royal pain that this is....and ours is an 87. That little access door in the floorboard is a nice suggestion. I wont even start on fixing the AC. Let’s just put it this way- someone will…
...to meet either of these gentlemen? yeah. you don’t have to pay me. I’m down.
