Egypt banned it ages ago but 94% of women there have undergone the procedure. To say Africa is decades behind when it comes to women’s health and gender attitudes is the understatement of the century. Without getting too specific, I work at the United Nations and as a regional group they oppose any language that would

He’s apparently a Scientologist. After Earth is a Scientology recruitment film, from the volcano on the poster to all the “fear is a choice” bullshit.

“Smart, curious men, Smith likely feels, go into politics.”

How do you know if it’s not a truthful answer? If you’re apt to believe the evidence Undisclosed turned up to disprove the State’s evidence- why are you distrustful on the one piece of information both Jay (who’s changed every statement except for how he borrowed the car) and Adnan agreed on?

Again, it doesn’t matter how you personally find a truthful answer satisfactory or not.

What’s the point of accusing me of being a paid shill when you could easily check my profile and find out for yourself how false that is?

Yeah, there was an uncomfortable interview moment where Sarah gushed that she thinks he didn’t do it because he’s such a great guy or something about his personality and he chewed her out for it saying she didn’t know him and shouldn’t make assumptions. It was so awkward.

Seriously, I think she fell for him. Uncool.

Agree! Toward the end of the series, she sounded downright smitten with him. As a professional journalist shouldn’t you do your darndest to remain impartial?

My take: Jay and Adnan were both involved. Jay is lying about some crucial particulars to minimize his involvement, hence the wild inaccuracies in his story. Adnan knows the state’s timeline is off and it didn’t go down the way Jay is saying it did, but he can’t explain why without implicating himself, so he’s chosen

No one else really has motive and as shady as Jay was, I don't see him killing her unless Adnan was involved.

He had a motive (popular guy can’t deal that ex-girlfriend going out with a new guy), no alibi (he can’t remember anything! zilch), cellphone towers corroborated witness accounts of where he was and when he did it (the Best Buy parking lot - some of this evidence was admissible some not and that is why they are having

Not OP but because 1) there is someone else (who has no motive) saying he did it and 2) if he was an abusive boyfriend literally everyone else could think he was a nice guy, only his partner(s) would know the truth.

I enjoyed it, but the reporter’s investment in presenting Adnan as someone with charisma and intelligence and attractiveness was very off putting. He sounded perfectly mediocre, so I don't get why she was hyping him up.

Of course she is.

Can’t wait to see how she downplays Hae’s own words about Adnan’s psycho behavior...

No, she is older. Her younger brother is Adnan’s age and his best friend.

Me too.

Rabia is seemingly VERY obsessed with this thing, where it no longer seems like it comes from the goodness of her own heart.

I still think he did it.
