A few other things:. When fishing, if you equip the rod then click deadeye, all the fish and Marine life will highlight just like animals do when you normally do it when walking, but land animals will NOT. So if you think you’ll see the grizzly while fishing for salmon you might not.

I would add to all this: sell your “valuables” goods to a fence. You Max out at 5 of a kind for most things like gold wedding rings or pocket watches or belt buckles and you will lose a ton of money early on by being maxed out on inventory and not collecting them!
