This post couldn't have come at a better time. I have literally listened to my favorite playlists 40 times over and it was time for something new. And yes, Noon Pacific is awesome.
Streaming music apps and discovery services are a dime a dozen, but even the best ones have a hard time competing…
Not a bad start, but it appears to be missing some necessary basic features, such as background audio that shows song info (lock screen doesn't show anything), info about the song (such as a way to star it in 8tracks or buy it in iTunes, etc.), and possibly push notifications (for new playlists on Mondays).
Thanks for sharing Noon Pacific. I use to work at Abercrombie and Fitch and a lot of the music NP plays sounds like the stuff they played in the store.

I absolutely love Noon Pacific. I signed up for it when Lifehacker featured it the first time around. It's true, I've never heard of the majority of the music, but I know that I will always get something great. Plus, it's exciting to get it every week and wonder what will be on the playlist.
