I also don’t scour my legs as if trying to get caked-on grease off because that caked-one grease is seasoning. It improves their flavor and prevents them from rusting.

It seems almost everyone pees in the shower. However, I’m experiencing the same level of shock at the non-leg washers as I did when I read that some people stand up to wipe.

It’s rare for people to talk about having had an abortion simply because they didn’t want children right then, and Naya was brave to tell this story.

Honestly, good on her for talking about this. She’s very brave to do it— the vitriol against women who exercise their constitutional right to terminate a pregnancy and have the gall to talk about it publicly is always pretty brutal.

I think people like having “power” associated with their bodies, especially when their bodies are their launching pad to other businesses. I agree there is nothing wrong with it - I don’t mean to sound prudish. But it does seem at times that empowerment (if you’ll forgive the word) is now reduced to such displays. It would be nice to see the energy and the confidence asserted into other dimensions of identity.
