We had some people over and I got to break out the chip and dip set we got for our wedding and all I can think about every time I use it is “It’s a chip and dip!”

It’s actually among ABC’s top rated shows this season, which is crazy.

This was great!

My sister and I got tickets to one from Groupon last year for Christmas for my mom and sister-in-law. My mom really wasn’t into it, she doesn’t paint (neither do I!) and I really had to explain to her that it’s not even about the art. She ended up having a blast and it was a fun girl’s night which we never do.

It’s a Christian Rehab, yes.

Kidney matches are determined by antigens - basically a blood test I think. But I don’t believe there’s a registry for it or anything.

My mom needs a kidney, and, while I happily agreed to undergo the testing, I was incredibly relieved when they picked my brother to go forward with. And that was MOM not even a stranger.

Also if you donate a kidney, you:

1) Can no longer take ibuprofen since it’s bad for your kidneys and you only have one

We have a king bed but sometimes I still wish we had separate beds or rooms. I go to bed earlier than he does and he sleeps a lot later and even in the king bed we manage to wake each other up during the night. We really don’t sleep well together.

I feel like their hands are tied in this. If they allow tipping at all, customer will still feel compelled to tip regardless of the signs. “Well they say no tipping is required, but there’s a tip line on the bill. I should probably tip anyway.”

It’s definitely an extreme reaction, but until we get past the idea that

I think it’s kind of funny. And she doesn’t even look that bad. If my face was beet red and I was super sweaty and gross I’d be mad but she looks fine! It’s fun! I’d laugh.

She wouldn’t have to. Several other parents from that same program have said that when they’ve had to curl their daughters hair (because more often than not the team hair style is curls in cheerleading) the expectation is that they try. The hair doesn’t have to last all day (and honestly what are they going to do?

She was kicked off the team because her mom is out of control. It’s really not just about the hair. The police had to escort her out of the gym because she was throwing such a fit.

For competitive all-star cheer (which college teams are not) you decide as a team how you want to wear your hair. Sometimes it’s straight, but usually it’s curly. I have stick straight hair and I spent many nights sleeping in foam curlers trying to get my hair to hold a curl.

You don’t need the uniformity for a game

NFL cheerleaders are dancers not competitive cheerleaders.

For what it’s worth the make up is to be seen under the stage lights. It’s the same thing in dance.

It was ABSOLUTELY the mother’s attitude. The gym in question released a statement saying as much and said they had to call police to remove her from the gym because she was throwing a complete fit and has done so on other occasions.

I played softball at 5 and made it clear I didn’t like it. I switched to dance and a few years later cheer. If she wants to play soccer, she can say something.

She got kicked off because the mom is a huge PITA from everythign I’ve heard about it (and I’m a competitive cheerleader, so this article has been passed around the community. The coach has basically hinted that the mom, not the girl’s hair, is the reason she was removed from the team)

Competitive cheer, the type of cheerleading this girl is doing, involved no sidelines and no cheering for men. It’s basically a gymnastics meet. And you wear the amount of makeup you do so the stage lights don’t wash you out - just like in dance.

I’m a competitive cheerleader, I’ve been doing it for 15 years. Cheer hair has almost always been curly hair. I have stick straight here like you did and spent years sleeping with curlers in my hair to try and do it. Or I wore stupid sew in hair piece. It doesn’t have to look perfect, but you have to make the effort.
